Women teaching and equipping women.
In our Northview Women’s Bible studies, we seek to meet women where they are and move them forward in Biblical knowledge and in their understanding of how their relationship with God should shape their thinking and actions.
To this end, we provide a variety of study opportunities which share a similar format but require differing levels of commitment. All of our studies are expositional (working through a book of the Bible or section of a book sequentially) and inductive (asking a series of questions which help us observe, interpret, and apply the Biblical text).
Bible Study Options
We are greatly anticipating another year of studying God’s word with you! All of our studies are intergenerational and consist of a small group discussion and large group teaching format. You are welcome to attend if you are part of another church on the weekend (it’s not all Northview women at our studies!), or if you have never gone to church before. We would be happy to talk through what the Bible teaches as you investigate the claims of the Christian faith.
Daytime studies are on Wednesday and Thursday at the Downes Road Campus (and we offer childcare for a small fee). During our Wednesday study we also have an ESL group.
Evening Studies take place on Monday Night at the Downes Road and Mission Campuses.
In order to prepare yourselves for the discussion and teaching for each study, we suggest that you factor in the following preparation time during the week:
- The Gospel of John – approx. 1-2 hours of study between weekly meeting.
- Hebrews Study – approx. 4-5 hours of study between weekly meetings.

WOW (WorkOut Worship)
Downes Road Campus – Lower Court
WorkOut Worship is a low impact exercise class to worship music. We welcome women from Northview and the community, from teenagers to seniors. There is no childcare, but your preschoolers are welcome to join us. The class is offered on a drop-in basis Mondays and Thursdays. from 9:15-10:30am and there is no fee. Enter through the family entrance at the back of the building and come down the stairs to Lower Court. Bring running shoes and a water bottle. Retreats & Events
Besides our weekly Bible studies throughout the year, we like to plan for one large event each year that provides opportunity to bring all the women together and to invite guests who cannot come weekly.
We alternate years between a retreat and a local conference.
In spring of 2019 we held a retreat at RockRidge Canyon in Princeton, BC. We plan to return there in 2021.
This upcoming spring of 2020 we will be hosting a conference at our Downes Road campus.
