PASTORAL INTERN - CARE

Gary felt God’s call into pastoral ministry since childhood, dedicating 44 years to serving churches and missionaries around the globe. His love story with his wife, Kim, started in 7th grade; this year marks 46 years of marriage. As proud grandparents to five grandsons and two granddaughters, they moved to Abbotsford a few years ago to be closer to family.
Upon joining the Northview family, Gary discovered the need for a Pastor to Seniors role and felt a strong calling to fill this position. He eagerly looks forward to how God will guide the development of the seniors’ ministry and is excited about the journey ahead.

Visitation

Our Seniors Visitation Team began making visits in late January to the seniors of our congregation who cannot come to services because of their age, or illnesses, or to those who are recently bereft of their spouse or loved ones. Those who are hospitalized and those with other acute and chronic needs receive priority as we become aware of their need.

Visits always include encouragement, a few verses of Scripture and prayer for the one being visited.  Each visit is reported to the Pastor to Seniors. Future visits are planned accordingly.  Our Visitation Team is blessing and being blessed richly with each visit made.

Currently, we have 16 active team members who are out providing love and care on behalf of Northview Community Church.
