NANNY/CAREGIVER- I am in need of a nanny/caregiver for my five year old son. I am looking for after-school care (pick up from school, John Maclure Elementary) from 2:10pm – 5:30pm, caring for him in our home Monday to Friday until I return. I will need care for Pro-D days as well. I also need full-time summer care, as I work 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. His older sister is 13 and will be home also, but won’t require the same care. He has some behavioural challenges that we have been working through and I am looking for someone who, ideally, has some experience with this, and someone who has a valid criminal record check and driver’s license. He is a very creative child with a kind heart and would benefit from one-on-one care. I am looking for help as soon as possible as I am a single mother and provide for my children full-time. If this is something you might be interested in, please text or call 778-808-7092 or email rachel.setka@gmail.com. (04/18)

NANNY / CAREGIVER- Looking for an overnight nanny/caregiver for my two boys, aged 8 and 11 years old. Only needed for two nights a week for the next few months, then probably 4-5 nights a week from September onward. Easiest job ever, as the kids will be in bed when you arrive at 9:15pm and I will be back in the morning at 6:45am before they wake up. Perfect for students or people who are looking to make some extra money – while asleep. Their dad is in the military and being sent back to Ontario, and I’m looking for stability for my kids. Pay negotiable, willing to discuss. If you’re a kind and open-minded individual, and you’re interested in helping out a family that’s been through a lot (and who’d love to stay in Abbotsford), please contact me (Rosanne) at 613-312-7121, or email me at dazzling.dutchie@gmail.com. CASUAL RESPITE WORKER- I am looking for a caring individual to work with my 14-year-old daughter Sadie. She is non-verbal and has Angelman syndrome. She communicates with body language and is starting to learn touch chat. She goes to Abbotsford Christian and loves people, trying new things, swimming, swings, music, sunshine and hugs. Sadie needs help with eating- she can eat snack foods by herself, dressing (she will assist but can’t do it on her own), some help with navigating uneven surfaces but she usually just looks for your hand. I would give you shifts every month depending on my other kids’ schedules and my basketball coaching schedule. I would need you either Saturday or Sunday a few times a month and then in the summer, I am looking for 1-2 days a week. We could work around your schedule – I am pretty flexible. In September I am looking for someone to pick her up from school at 2:50pm and have her till 6:30pm, which would include having dinner or feeding her dinner 2 times a week – probably Mondays and Thursdays or Mondays and Saturdays. Or Mon/Thur/Sat depending on the week. I have a great respite worker right now. She has to drop down in her hours but she is more than willing to have you job shadow her. Sadie loves her and they have so much fun together. Pay is $25-30/hr depending on experience working with complex children. You need to have a car and be able to take her to your place as well as out doing activities. Reimbursement for any activities. I can be reached at 604-615-1994 or aredekop@gmail.com. Thanks so much. 1 BDRM- We are a Christian married couple working full time looking for an above-ground 1-bedroom rental. We’ve been married 5 years and renting our current space for the entirety of those 5 years. We have an excellent relationship with our current landlords, sharing Easter dinners together in the past and attending their daughter’s wedding. The reason for moving is that the current property is being listed for sale so we sadly have to part ways. I love to garden and my husband enjoys reading and going for walks. We have 2 female indoor cats (mom and kitten ages 7 and 6 ish), that are spayed, litter-trained, fully vaccinated and have an automatic, scheduled feeder (no crying for food). We share one car, and I work from home Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while he works in the office full-time. We are looking for something around $1500/month total, but we are open to negotiating the inclusion of bills or a pet deposit. Please contact us at alaynatam@gmail.com. (04/11)
ACCOMMODATION WANTED- Temporary (2 1/2 months) accommodation wanted for a senior Christian man moving from Calgary. From mid-July to the end of September. 1 BDRM WANTED- Accommodations wanted August 15, 2025 – April 30, 2026, near Capilano University. We are Northview Community Church members in Abbotsford and our son, 19 in August, is enrolling in the Outdoor Recreation Program at Capilano University in the fall of 2025. We are, therefore, seeking housing for him. He is very responsible and has grown up with pets too. While student housing is an option, we would prefer off-campus accommodations. We are hoping for a mold/moisture-free accommodation, a new home or on grade level would be best. Self-contained suite would be preferred but room and board or shared accommodations can be considered. Bus pass is included with tuition so being close to bus routes is attractive. Street/driveway parking is also a consideration given access to a vehicle. We have a suite in our home, so a “trade” is an option. Please contact us at kdriedger@vailo.ca or 778-255-3891. (04/11)
