BIBLES FOR MISSIONS THRIFT STORE- Our thrift store volunteers sort the donations, price and sell the items selected. We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available including but not limited to: Cashiers, Greeters, Sorters, Pricers, Delivery drivers, Receivers and Merchandisers. Our volunteers offer their talents and interests to make a difference at home and abroad. We believe that Christians should use their gifts to make a difference in God’s world and are happy to do our part to see the kingdom of God grow and ultimately prosper! Most positions within our thrift store require a great attitude and willingness to serve. There are special requirements for delivery drivers (for insurance purposes) but otherwise we encourage volunteers to sign up and let us know all of the areas within our store they feel they would be able to make the biggest impact. We then do our best to place them accordingly. We encourage new volunteers to commit to a weekly 4-hour shift to start. Of course more hours are welcomed but we do not want to overwhelm anyone either! Let us know how much time you have to offer and we’ll do our best to work with your schedule. We also provide parenting support, and baby supplies (e.g. diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, etc.) for up to 2 years after the baby is born. All of these services are free and available to everyone who visits our centre and are offered in a completely confidential, safe, and non-judgemental environment. We believe that women deserve to be respected and valued no matter what they choose.
