​​MCC BC CIRCLE OF FRIENDS- Circle of Friends is a new pilot program of the Mennonite Central Committee BC, modeled after MCC Ontario’s program, in which groups of 2-3 volunteers form a “circle of friends” around an individual transitioning from homelessness or shelter living back into the community. Circles meet once a week for activities such as going out for coffee, creating a budget, accessing the food bank, or attending a fitness class. Ultimately the goal of the Circle is to build positive relationships, decrease social isolation, and support participants as they reintegrate with the community.
