Pastor Bonny Wormald

Here at Northview Kids, we exist to “MAKE DISCIPLES. To grow in kids and families a love and knowledge of God, His WORD and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” Our mission is to equip the next generation to be deeply rooted followers of Jesus Christ. Our greatest desire is that every boy and girl who joins us on the weekend will come to understand and know that Jesus is the Savior they need, put their trust and faith in Him, and belong wholly to Him. We are committed not only to teaching kids about God but also to partnering with and equipping you as you disciple and raise faithful followers of Jesus. It is our joy to help kids live out the joy of their salvation, grow in their faith and experience God’s love in a meaningful way. This passion drives everything we do—both on the weekends and throughout the week—as we create opportunities for children to know, love, and follow Jesus.

Relationships

At Northview Kids, our goal is to equip the next generation to be deeply rooted followers of Jesus Christ. One of the key ways we do this is through intentional discipleship—because how we disciple the next generation shapes their faith for a lifetime.

We believe discipleship happens best through relationships. When a child feels included, connected, and truly like they belong, they are more open to engaging with others and ready to listen and learn. We provide lots of opportunities to build relationships with their peers and leaders; everything from games and activities to large group and small group times.

Gospel Centred Teaching

Northview Kids seeks to disciple and grow in families and kids a Biblical and Jesus Centred theology. We equip the next generation to be deeply rooted followers of Jesus Christ by teaching them God’s Word. Over 3 years in Northview Kids, children are brought through a chronological study of the Bible from Genesis through Revelation.

Fun

At Northview Kids, fun is at the heart of everything we do! Through engaging activities, interactive lessons, and creative play, we create an environment where kids not only feel safe and loved, but also genuinely enjoy their time with us. Whether it’s high-energy games, hands-on crafts, or lively worship, we make sure every moment is an opportunity for kids to experience God’s love in a fun and memorable way!

Frequently Asked Questions

Every classroom has at least 2 cleared serve team members who are trained and have a cleared Criminal Record Check.

At Northview Kids we teach through a 3-year, Gospel Centric Curriculum from Gospel Project. This curriculum provides kids with a better understanding that the Bible is not a conglomeration of many stories, but one great story of God’s plan to rescue people from their own sin.

In addition to large group Bible teaching, in small group times, kids will do activities and have discussions to help them comprehend the lessons and apply them to their own lives.

There is nothing required for children to bring with them to Northview Kids. If your child owns a Bible, we would really encourage them to bring it along! If they don’t have one, please ask one of our staff members on the weekend and we would love to get them a copy of God’s Word!

For nursery aged-children, baby cookies and toys are provided in their class. You are welcome to leave them with a bottle, special blanket, pacifier etc. if needed!

Northview Kids has a robust set of safety policies and procedures. They encompass the following emergencies and protocols: Fire evacuation, missing children, earthquake, lockdown, suspicious person, and medical emergencies.

All Staff and Serve Team Members are required to wear a name tag and Northview Kids shirt. They each also receive training on Northview Kids’ Policies and Procedures.

Each guardian and child will receive a tag when checking in. The Child’s tag includes their name, any medical info, classroom and an individualized number. The other tag is a Pick Up Tag and includes the matching number which needs to be shown to the Serve Team Member when picking up.

Yes! We want to make your child(ren)’s time with Northview Kids as comfortable as possible! If that means you need to stay in their class with them – we would happily have you stay. In that case, we would give you a Guardian Pass Lanyard to wear, you would not be left alone with children, and there would also be at least two cleared Serve Team Members in the class with you.

If your child needs their guardian to stay multiple weekends in a row, you are no longer considered just a visitor but a consistent adult in the classroom. For security reasons, you will be asked to fill out the Children’s Ministry application and receive a Criminal Record Check.

We use a system called Check Ins through Planning Center Online. To attend Northview Kids, you are required to check in with your phone number. We can text you through Check Ins to any phone number in your household during the service.

Depending on the campus that you are at, if you fail to respond after a few minutes, your child’s individualized number may appear above the screen using the LED number display in the Worship Centre or their name might appear on the screen.
