Albania 2026

As our team prepared to go to Albania this summer, we turned to the Lord, asking Him to reveal to us what He held for us during our time. As we did this, we met up as a team to prepare from February to July. Our team of 12 young adults and 2 team leads began to raise support financially and spiritually. We were able to witness the generosity of the church as we fundraised in May, and we are so grateful for all the people who came alongside us to send us out. Many partnered with us in prayer and donations.

On July 24th, we left for Albania and were excited with anticipation of the people we would meet and what God could do. We were met by City Church in Tirana, who we were going to be helping run their young adult camp. This camp is something they have done the past few years, as Albanian young adults like many around the world, are craving community and a sense of purpose. Around 75% of the campers were not believers and as we began our week of camp we continued to pray that God would stir the hearts of the young people we were working with.

Throughout the different seminars we led, conversations we had over meals, and walks, the gospel was able to be clearly communicated. Some of the people who attended our camp had never heard the gospel before. We are so thankful for the opportunity we had to spend time discussing the Bible and important principles that the campers and ourselves could apply to real life. Freedom of religion is a newer thing to Albania, given they are only 35 years out of communism. It is a gift that God has opened the doors for missionaries and groups like us to be able to come in and share the gospel with people, and for churches like City Church.

Leaving Albania, we wished we could stay longer but we know the Lord has done a great work in the hearts of the people who attended our week of camp! Four people accepted Jesus and many others’ hearts were softened. We left hoping that these principles will take root in the heart of all the campers who came to our camp.

The day before we left Albania, we were privileged to attend City Church one more time after camp and had invited many of the campers to join us. Many came that Sunday, even ones who had not accepted Jesus, and we were able to engage in even more conversation before we left, over coffees and even giving a Bible to someone who is still seeking.

God is doing a mighty work in the hearts of the Albanians and we encourage you to partner with us in prayer for the hearts of everyone who attended the camp. Pray that the gospel will take root in their hearts and influence the way they live, causing others to come to know Christ too. Pray for City Church as they disciple these young adults and other church members. Pray that the gospel will spread like wildfire across Albania, so others can know the hope that we hold!

As a team, we thank you for your partnership in helping send us to Albania! Not only did you make it possible for us to go, but while we were there, God opened many doors for the gospel to reach people who had never heard it before.
