MENTORS NEEDED TO SUPPORT MOMS- Care For Women is looking for volunteer mentors to help support moms throughout the Fraser Valley during the initial few weeks of motherhood. Care for Women supports mothers in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Langley and Surrey by providing 1:1 dedicated in-home support, relationship, professional house cleaning, meals and transportation to appointments. Coming home for that first time with a newborn can be a very difficult experience, especially for women who don’t have a village around them to carry the load. M2W2 VOLUNTEERS- M2W2 is a Christian organization that has a big heart for those who are incarcerated as well as newly released. We are in need of more mentors. The commitment is little; we visit Fraser Valley Institution (women’s correctional facility) once every two weeks on a Thursday night from 7-9pm.
