A Message from Pastor Jesse

I consider it a great privilege to serve as the campus pastor at the Mission Campus. I love gathering; where we gather to worship our God through prayer, song, hearing the Word preached, and taking communion together. Yet we find ourselves unable to do that at the moment. I’ll be honest, it is hard for me to not be a little disappointed about that. Perhaps you are disappointed too, let me offer a word of encouragement.

It  is tempting during times like these to sit back and wait for things to get back to ‘normal’ before we return to being discipled and making disciples. But God is not waiting to continue His work, His mission is not on pause at the moment, He is currently moving and working everything according to His good and perfect plan. So, If our God is still at work, so should we. The question set before us then is how much is your discipleship worth to you? Is it worth struggling through a few more zoom calls, is it worth committing to watching the online content even though you prefer live, or is it worth reaching out to a fellow believer to check in just because? The answer is yes, let’s press on, keep the faith, run the race even though we are tired and maybe frustrated. May we be found faithful Church, even during these difficult times.

I would encourage you to join us online for our services, join an online Bible study, or connect with a pastor for prayer and care. I would also encourage you to sign up to receive our newsletter, which is where we try to keep you up to date and informed with things happening at Northview. Whether you are new or have been with us for a while, our hope is that Northview would be a place where you can be known and grow in your disciple to Jesus. Jesus is our hope, saviour, and Lord and it is His name that we seek to make famous in Mission and around the world. I hope to see you soon!

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Children are a gift from God, and as you begin the journey of raising your child to know, love, and obey the Lord, you are not alone. At Northview Church, we aim to equip our parents to raise gospel-centered kids who love our great God, and child dedication is part of the journey. Child dedication is the parents’ affirmation before the gathered church of their intent to lead and spiritually nurture their child to know, love and serve God.
