Community Groups

We say “together is better” and this is about more than just attending a service on the weekend. One of the best ways we do life together is through Community Groups. It doesn’t matter if you’re questioning Christianity, new to faith, or have been following Jesus for years. It doesn’t matter what neighbourhood you’re from or which Northview campus you regularly attend. We want to help you find a “good fit” for where you’re at in life.

Many groups meet regularly from September to June and typically meet in homes to share food, discuss how the Bible impacts life, and pray with/for one another.

Bible Studies

Are you looking for community and to grow deeper in your faith? At Northview we believe that every disciple is on a lifelong journey in their relationship with Jesus. One of the best ways to being a more deeply rooted follower of Jesus is by studying God’s Word.

We encourage you to consider signing up for one of our midweek Bible Studies! Our men’s group will be studying the book of Galatians on Wednesday evenings and for women we have two study options: Galatians or Ezra/Nehemiah, offered Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings, or Thursday mornings.

Fall Celebration Concert

Northview Senior’s Ministry is thrilled to announce their upcoming Fall Celebration Concert featuring The Arias, Rafael Comeau, Steve Otterbein, and The Nicolenco Trio.

Join Northview Seasons on September 29, 7:00pm – 9:00pm at our Downes Road Campus. Tickets are $15 per person. Dessert is included and all ages are welcome!

Questioning Christianity

Do you know someone who has big questions about Christianity? You may be wrestling with big questions, or you may know a deconstructing young adult, a skeptical but seeking person, or even an ex-vangelical.

Northview is opening a space each Wednesday from October 11 to November 8th, which is specifically intended for those who are doubting or have big questions about the Christian faith.

This is not a place for hostile debate, nor a place intended for mature believers to gain more knowledge, but rather a place where men and women with doubts, hang-ups, barriers, and/or questions about Christianity can process them without judgment or rancour. Andy Steiger, the director of Apologetics Canada, and Graham Nickel, one of the elders at Northview, will be leading this group and will deal with 5 big topics including faith, morality, and purpose.

BAPTISM CLASS

Ready to be baptized? Or want to audit our baptism class?

Baptism is closely linked with belief in the New Testament, and therefore happens at the beginning of someone’s journey as a disciple of Jesus (Acts 2:38-41), and is therefore considered a symbol of initiation into a life of following Jesus with other followers of Jesus. If you are interested in being baptized, want to learn more about baptism, or you are seeking membership with Northview and haven’t been baptized–then this is the class for you!

Please note that the baptism classes are campus specific. Register for the class at the campus you attend regularly. The details are as follows:

Downes Road Campus, October 5th, 7:00pm-8:30pm
East Abbotsford Campus, October 15th, 12:30pm-2:00pm (after the service)
Central Abbotsford Campus, October 14th, 7:00pm-8:30pm (after the service)
