What I do: I am a Pastor in the Care Department. My training is in counselling and so I work on a short term basis with women, couples and families that are going through “muck”. Muck is anything that is difficult, painful, hard or challenging – i.e. marriage struggles, chronic illness or disease, financial difficulties, abuse, relationship fractures, anxiety/depression, etc. In addition, I oversee the marriage programs at Northview.
Family: I am married to Mark who works as a self-employed Chartered Accountant here in Abbotsford. We have 2 kids – a daughter, Ava (1998) and son Carter (1999).
Education: After High School I attended Bible College in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one year (now called Canadian Mennonite University). Then, I attended University of BC and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology. After UBC, I was accepted at Trinity Western University for the Masters Degree program in Counseling Psychology. I then went on to work in a few different areas: Addictions, Abuse, Mental Health and Youth Counseling.
A few of my favorite things: reading!!! going for coffee with friends, deep conversations, and more reading!
