Modern Family

The idea of a “modern family” embraces and expects the idea of unconventional.  In this day and age, family comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes.  It’s easy for us to compare the relationships we experience to the lives of those around us, and to the examples we see in pop culture through film and television.

The good news is that God’s Word does not leave us to our own devices to determine how we ought to live in relationship with those around us. God has given us answers to some of our relationship questions. How should we relate with the people we are in close relationship with; people like our friends, spouses, or children?  How should we approach difficult areas within the family, like parenting or divorce?  How do we understand what marriage is?  What should we think about our singleness?  As a church family, we want our relationships with others to reflect His intention and design.  The next several weeks we will be looking at a selection of specific passages that teach about our various relationships in life.
