Mission Summary

Vic and Marty Wiens are resource missionaries with MBMSI and are adopted missionaries of Northview.

After 25 years of service and residence in Brazil, Vic and Marty relocated to Abbotsford in 2010. Vic continues with MBMSI as Coordinator of Mission Capacity Building, that is, helping our sister conferences in Africa, Asia and Latin America to develop missionary-sending capacities of their own.  He works with international church and mission leaders in vision-casting, training, and setting up sending structures.  Marty is in a supportive role and upon receiving her papers will pursue part-time employment in social services.

Prayer Requests

• Angola: As the country rebuilds after 27 years of civil war, pray for united leaders and healthy local churches.
• Brazil: Pray for a Spirit-led missions movement in which cross-cultural missionaries would emerge, receive proper training, and be faithfully supported by Brazilian churches.
• Japan: Pray that Japanese churches will have a growing passion for reaching the lost both at home and abroad.
• Pray for Vic and Marty as they are still in transition to a new chapter of life and ministry. Also pray for their three daughters: Beth (26) working in Alaska, Kristen (24) newly-married and living in Holland, and Angie (20) finishing her
third year of college in California. Please pray for spiritual vitality, protection and health for all of us.
