Mission Summary

Darcy and Beth joined FamilyLife Canada staff in 2003. FamilyLife is a ministry of Power to Change Canada.  FamilyLife reaches into the lives of families across Canada and around the world through conference and internet ministry.

FamilyLife has several conferences relating to marriage and parenting.  The three day Weekend to Remember conference has been serving families for more than 30 years.  FamilyLife Canada also offers several one day conferences such as Real Marriage, Next Level Marriage, and Legacy.  Each of these conferences brings something different to the family; all of them bring hope, help, and healing through God’s design for marriage and family.  FamilyLife is committed to bringing timeless Godly values in a relevant way to meet the needs of our current culture.

Internet has become a global ministry focus for Power to Change and FamilyLife Canada. Many people come to the websites looking for help regarding family issues.  On Power to Change and FamilyLife websites people find articles, blogs, Bible studies and mentoring help related to every issue imaginable.  There are three target audiences:

• Discover – everything on this tab is geared to a non-Christian audience, we keep the values and principles of our faith, but speak in language appropriate to the non-believer.
• Experience – this tab is targeted to our Christian audience, helping them in the journey of life
• Inspire – inspiring people to discover Jesus as Savior, experience the power of the Holy Spirit and inspire others to do the same.

Beth provides content development for FamilyLife.  Beth writes regularly for the internet including:  blog posts, online Bible studies, and articles. Her writing is used throughout the many different websites of Power to Change in addition to FamilyLifeCanada.com.  Her role also includes the posting of information to the websites.  As is common in ministry there is always more to do, Beth enjoys the changes as new projects come along to add to her regular writing timeline.

Beth is also a certified life coach.  She uses this skill in coaching women to find their God given purpose and help them through family issues.  Not only does Beth love this role, it also aids in writing relevant content that meets the needs of families.

Although there has been much change in the past seven years of ministry with FamilyLife, Darcy and Beth continue to have a passion to reach out to hurting families with the hope and help Jesus offers. Married since 1989, they live in Abbotsford, BC with their three children: Olivia, Samuel, and Sophie.  They have attended Northview since 1993.

Prayer Requests

• That God will provide wisdom and direction as the ministry of FamilyLife moves ahead to reach our nation
• That more people will become aware of the ministry of FamilyLife and the help it offers
• That we recognize the spiritual battle when we are attacked
• God would grant us wisdom and protection with our own family as we raise our kids
• Continued financial provision
• Continued progress for Darcy’s health
