Mission Summary

“Raising up Disciples of Christ in Canada and Guatemala.”

Global Shore runs a Christian school in El Tizate, Guatemala. We have 200 students in attendance. Our primary goal is for these children to come to know and love the Lord and we are doing that through the venue of education. A secondary initiative of the ministry is building homes for those in need here in the community. Approximately 25 houses have been gifted over the years.

Global Shore provides various opportunities for Canadians to come and serve in Guatemala, be it through a 4-month student program, short-term teams throughout the year or filling an ESL position in the school. Through these opportunities we seek to be intentional in “aprovechando el tiempo” (taking advantage of the time) we have with teams to encourage God in their lives, provide opportunities for growth and challenge them to go deeper in the Lord. HALLELUJAH.

Highlights/Challenges:
Our 4-month student program begins at the end of April. I provide leadership for that, and it is always an intense time of community, struggle and growth. I am always very blessed by these four months.  We are also piloting for the first time a Family Missions Trip to take place in July this summer. We are really anticipating a great trip!
