Mission Summary

Clyde:  God is doing something new in Canada:  raising up First Nation believers into ministry at a rate not seen within the last century.  Seven First Nation believers have joined NAIM in various capacities over the past year, including Board level and department leaders.  Clyde serves as Executive Director of NAIM.

NAIM began in 1949 with medical and evangelistic ministry to First Nation people up the BC Coast into Alaska.  The mission has changed from a ministry primarily using ships, planes, and camp properties, into focus on direct people to people ministry.  NAIM began as mission TO First Nation people.  As more First Nation people come to Christ and take up His Great Commission, it is changing ever more into ministry WITH Native believers.  Our slogan at NAIM is, Serving with First Nations to reach all nations. 

First Nation people have some of the greatest potential as missionaries of any people in the world.  First Nation people from North America are recognized and respected.  One of Clyde’s main goals is to encourage and enlist First Nation believers into world missions.

Big changes are overtaking the world of missions.  Because of that we focus on the things we know for sure Christ has called us to do.  Within NAIM we want to be known as those people who love each other and make disciples.  May it be so.
Paula:  Works with the women of NAIM and also continues to work with Women Of The Harvest and many missionary women through their website and the Internet.  She also works with the local Harvest Circle to encourage women in missions in the Fraser Valley, and she enjoys meeting with a local group of Parents Of Missionaries.

Prayer Requests

• Personal disciplines, abiding in Christ for self, family and ministry.
• Wisdom and grace to serve the missionaries and those who support them through NAIM, and also the growing number of First Nation believers.
• Pray that God will enable us to make disciples among First Nation people, and that He will enlist some of them into world missions if that is His intent for the future.
