Imagine exists to love and accept special needs individuals and their families by exemplifying Jesus’ love, mercy and compassion while empowering them to fully engage in authentic community, encountering God’s loving embrace.

Imagine Weekends
This is a program designed to provide children with special needs an opportunity to encounter Jesus in a caring and loving environment, while allowing their families the ability to attend church together on a weekly basis.

Saturday Nights - 5:15-7:00pm, Room 306
We understand that leaving your child in a new environment can be overwhelming.  To help ensure a positive experience, our volunteers are trained in basic special needs caregiving and are committed to serving God by working with your children.

For those children who function best in a specialized setting, we will provide a structured time in the Imagine Room with developmentally appropriate Bible stories, singing, coloring and crafts. The room is sensory appropriate to lighting and sound, and contains a private changing area, therapeutic equipment and various tactile items.  Room 306 is located in the upstairs Children’s Ministry wing near the elevator.

For those children who function best in a partially integrated or fully integrated setting, we will have “care buddies” available to provide one on one care while they attend the regular Kid’s Town program.

Sunday Mornings
While there is not currently a structured Sunday morning program, one on one care buddies will be provided to those families who choose to have their child in care while they attend church at 9:00am or 11:15am.

General Policies
1. Registration is required for participation in Imagine Weekends.  Registration forms can be picked up at the Info Booth in the main foyer downstairs, or Room 306.  First time visitors are encouraged to arrive by 5:15pm on Saturday night and fill out a condensed visitor’s information card, detailing their child’s special needs.

2. Parents are required to make a weekly reservation for their child to ensure adequate staffing on Saturday nights.  In the event that plans change and the child is unable to attend on a particular Saturday, please contact Brent Lanigan no later than 3:00pm on Saturday afternoon.  You can reach him at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

3. A pager system is used in case parents need to be contacted for any reason during the service.
