The Jesus Film Project

           
In 2002, Northview partnered with Campus Crusade for Christ (now Power to Change) to produce the Jesus Film in the Twi language for Ghana, West Africa.  This partnership was made possible by the generous donation of a supporter of Campus Crusade who wished for a number of churches to take on the task of reaching the nations with the Gospel.  In early 2004 Northview sent a team to Ghana to premiere the film to the King of the region and his counsel.  It was so encouraging to see the people respond to a film of Jesus made in their heart language!  On the same trip, Northview brought all film equipment needed, plus we were able to purchase a truck for the local pastors to take the film to the surrounding areas.  The team also commissioned Pastor Jacob to be the overseer of the film evangelistic ministry.  Since then, Pastor Jacob and his team have taken the Jesus film far and wide to bring the Gospel to so many who have never heard.  Below is a sampling of the reports that have come back from this incredible ministry!  We will continue to update this periodically, so keep checking back! 

Pastor Jacob is in charge of the Jesus film showings and the equipment.  He is a passionate young man with a great heart for sharing the Gospel to his people.

Dear Sir,

We are grateful to God for the opportunity given us by counting us worthy to stand and proclaim and testify about the birth, live, death and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This week on our Jesus film outreach in Manponteng have been fruitful beyond our imagination.  Yesterday the 21ST day of Jan 2011, we showed the Jesus Film at their taxi station and had over 300 people to watch the film 41 people gave their life to Christ. Today the 22ND was the climax at the central location in the town we had over 600 people to watch the Jesus Film, cheering and clapping their hands for seeing any miracle did. We had 62 people who received Christ as their Lord. We are much grateful to you all who have been strong in supporting this outreach programme which has enable thousands of people to come to the saving knowledge of our Dear Lord Jesus, We have no words to describe your support to this work, all we can do is to write you and say thank you to all who has made this possible for people who were ones far away to come to know JESUS through this media. Some were the people who have never in their lives watched Jesus Film, may God bless you and continue to keep you under his grace.  We can’t hide our joy, because many were the churches which have been established through the Jesus Film outreach, and yet many are the places we need to go for Christ and let known to people who is and what He can do for them, so please keep praying for the team, as we are looking forward to embark on another trip to the North but having financial challenges, but we know nothing is too hard for the Lord, AMEN.

Dear Sir,

Greetings to you and the entire Brethren in the Lord, We are grateful to God and to you for the unflinching support to the Jesus Film Ministry which has led us to many communities in the middle belt and Northern Ghana. We are full of praise to God for the New tires for the SUV which has strengthens us and with travel confidence, May God bless you for paying for the poor to also have their share of the gospel of Our Lord Jesus.

The Jesus Film team travelled to the North with confidence to reach out to many in the remote areas of the Northern Region of Ghana which is 5 to 6 hours journey to DABOYA where many has declared as a NO GO area because of the bad nature of the roads there which are not easy to access.  When we got there, we quickly went straight to a near by village Called DEESA, and set up our equipment and did show the Jesus film, we had about 678 people came out from their houses and watched and 83 persons gave their lives to Christ, we prayed with them and we had a brother who is a presiding Elder of Church of Pentecost, to continue with the discipling.
The second day, was at Lingbinsi about 2000 population, so we have to divide the village and do two days film show. The first day At Lingbinsi where we have started a small church through the Jesus Film, we showed the Film and had about 562 people coming out from and watched, 70 people accepted Christ that night, many as 30 people came to our meeting the next morning when we had church service with the newly founded church in the village where we have our brother Kwadwo,  is the leader/pastor. PLease do pray for Kwadwo, as he is leading these new babies in Christ.  The third day, at the same village at a different place where about 853 people watched and 105 people gave their lives to Christ, we are grateful to God for this tremendouse harvest into His kingdom, it is our prayer that, you will help us in prayer for the young church we have started, pray also that Kwadwo, would be like the kind of Rock the Lord will prepare and build His Church (Matt 16:18)
Before we left for this area, i made it known to our churches how poor the people live in the area and we appealed to them of used clothes, shoes, blankets and so many other items and many things were given to us to give to the poor, we had more than we can bear, some of this items were given to the new converts and some to the villages who were half naked.  It was very sad to see old men and the women standing at our door in the early morning while we are not awake waiting to have something to cover their nakeness.

We thank God for the Jesus Film, which has led us into some areas like this in Ghana which without knowing it, we thought everything is OK in Ghana. But now we have seen a different picture and we are calling for help for such places where many men of God do not want to go, but will rather want to stay in places like Accra and Kumasi, please lets join hands together and GO FOR CHRIST Matt 28:19, No time to wait, the time is now, for many have not yet heard anything about Jesus. Where you are today, it may seems to you that all have heard about Christ and have Watched the Jesus Film and know about Him, this is not true so please lets get going for Christ and do all as is in our power.

Dear Sir,       

Praise God!!  We are grateful to Our Lord for the opportunity He afford us to travel to a village called KONKRONPE, where the Jesus Film Was shown. We had close to 500 people who came to see and watched the Jesus Film, during the show a fight broke out between two young men who were seriously drunk bringing a temporal hault to the programme. the situation was saved and we proceeded. We had 47 people yesterday giving their lives to Jesus, they were very grateful to God for our coming and the service we conducted in the elders of the village were very grateful God for our coming to them, beause they believe the message delivered to the people of the village will help solve some problems, as most of the youngmen has giving in to strong wine.  We are very happy for the testimony by the elders of the village, but most importantly that you will pray with us for the people who have accepted the Lord as their saviour will not fall to Satan enticement. We pray and hope our ministry there will make great impact in the lives of the people who were ministered to.

Dear Sir,

Greetings to you, We count it all blessings to be called into this glorious kindom which we are granted the permision and Authority by our Lord Jesus to witness in his name. Today is another wonderful experience in NYINASE where the Jesus Film was shown and many people coming from their houses with their stools and watched, some standing, children sitting on the ground. Could you imagine that this Film is no longer for only children?  Adults are moved upon watching the Jesus Film, because of it upgraded form.

We are grateful to God, that He opened the heart of the people to received us and the word of God which is Jesus, the reason of our presence in the village. We had over six hundred people who presented themselves in the open and watched the Jesus Film and seventy two people gave their lives to Jesus. We led them in the sinners prayers and also prayed for God’s grace on the hearts of this young ones in Christ for spiritual growth.  The team is preparing to travel to LINGBINSI in DABOYA and it environs to do Jesus Film Outreach programme to many who some have never had the opportunity to watch the Jesus Film before. It is our prayer that you will help us in prayer that we will be able to travel that distant to reach out to this area called OVERSEAS where many men of God in Ghana do not want to go because of the poor nature of the ROADS and the poverty striken nature. We have promised to go there every year.  The team will leave for this area in the NORTH in the second week of FEB 2010. Hold us in prayer as we are getting ourselves together for this trip, For we need your support for this trip as well.

Dear Sir,

Greetings to you, this season is full of Jolly, through the blessings we had from the FATHER in Heaven by given us this great opportunity” His son JESUS” which is the reason for this SEASON.  Yesterday we shared the good news with the people of AKONKOTI-DOMASE, which as we also heard from the wise men, who the angel of the Lord appeared to, about the Glory in Heaven and the Peace that has come to the earth (LK2:14). Through the grace of God we had the liberty and let known to the people the REASON for this SEASON, with our upraded Jesus film which we are thankful to God for the Donors.  Yesterday we had about three hundred people who watched the Film and eighteen people received Christ into their lives, it’s our prayer, that the Lord will continue His blessings on their hearts as they are been minister to.Also prayer for them, as they need your prayers to suvive and grow in the grace.

Greetings, it wonderful and joyful to write and say, a big thanks to you for your effort to give us a new face by upgrading the Jesus Film. For this has given us new strength for the work.  We are grateful to God for the upgrade which gives more clearer understanding and create excitement using black children in the new version. It is a great opportunity having you as a prayer partner and encourager. May God continue His blessings on you and your family. Today, I have read much about your family and Northview on the website, it is my prayer that the Lord will strengthen the church both in spirit and physical growth. 

The Jesus film programme is still ongoing and we thank God for the spirit of carefulness to handle the equipment which has been entrusted into our hands for reaching out to the unreached. We always share with heavens our joy for seeing people come running to received Jesus as their Lord, whenever a Film show is taken place.

Dear Sir,
The Lord who has been with us, as I and pastor Elijah were given another opportunity to go back to the village call DOTOBAA to finish with the film show which we could not because of the rain.  Getting into the village the people were anxiously waiting as we promised coming to them again. Yesterday we had over six hundred people gathered and watched the film,  and sixty seven people gave their to Christ yesterday at the close of the programme. But the team is asking you for one thing which you like doing and know how to do it ! PRAYER. After setting up our equipments, while waiting for some few minutes to start the programme, a group of youngmen came and said whether We like it or not, they will keep to the drinking of the AKPETASHI a local acholic drink.

These small village needs your support in prayers as almost half of the youngmen and the adults of the village are drunkers, please pray for their children whose future are blind with no hope, it is only God who can cause His light to shine in their hearts. And that the Lord to have mercy on them and bring them to himself.

Dear Sir,

Greetings, and it is good to share with you what the Lord is doing in the Jesus Film outreach programme.  Yesterday was a great opportunity God gave to us to visit a village called BRAHOHO with the Jesus Film to show to the people. On our arrival and upon setting-up the equipment, the place was already packed with people waiting to watch the Jesus film.

We had over five hundred people who came out in their numbers and watched the Jesus Film. After the showing we had fifty two people who gave their lives to Christ, we prayed sinners prayers with them and encourage them to fellowship with a bible believing church. It was an exciting moment for us and the people of the village, their hearts were brought cosser to Jesus to the extent that, the way the programme was presented they want us to start a church so that they can continue to enjoy fellowship with us. But we did encouraged them, as there are many churches as ours who does teach about Christ as we do, we asked them to remain calm and join these churches in the villages.  Please do hold these babies in Christ in Prayers, that the seed sow in them would found its place in a good soil.

Dear Sir,

Greetings to you and our prayer partners, the peace of our Lord Jesus be unto you all. After traveling a long distance to DABOYA, there was a need for us to rest and also do some cleaning and maintenance on our equipments. By the grace of God after all, we yesterday traveled to a village called TOM where we did our showing of the Jesus Film, there we had about 250 people to watch the Film and as many as 17 people gave their lives to Christ which was a great Joy to the Chief and the Elders of the Village. Because some of the young men who gave their life to Christ were people who smoke (marijuana). So when the Chief and his Elder who we met earlier before the program saw what the Lord did, they were pleased. As they were also present and witnessed the program.

We count on your prayer for the young ones (ages 9-14) who were smoking (Marijuana) and has come to the Lord, that they will forever remain in the House of the Lord.

We hope all is well with you and our supporters.  Yesterday 6 may 2005 we visited a village called Rapoho near Subriso with the Jesus Film it is wonderful to see the whole village turn up to see the Film. 223 people came out and 37 people were saved yesterday and gave themselfs to CHRIST. We prayed with tthem, They promise visiting our church in Subriso, it is not far from Subriso. Pastor Boakye will be visiting them from time to time to help diciple them.This was another great redeemption program that took place, we are asking you to pray for this new born babies in christ.

Hello Nana Kwasi Kodom

How are you doing?  We hope you are doing wonderfully well with Nana Sapomaa. On the 18 day of march 2005 we were at Ayerede to do the jesus Film, upon the request of Elder Elijah Wussah,  we went there again because there are still many unsaved at Ayerede. to our suprise the attendance was so great than we first went. We had 617 people to see the Film and 23 peolpe that gave their live to christ. We break for the Easter convetions and my illnes.We have resume, we were at Aworowa yesterday a town puplation of 7000 we need more than one show yesterday we the chance to one side of the town and many as 800 people came out to see the Film, and we 31 people gave their live to Christ. We did have this great opportunity to Preach the word of God to the people in addition to the Jesus Film showing.
We are proud of this Equipment being given to us to spread the gospel, and the lives of people that were darken, has now have The light of the world which is JESUS.

Dear Nana Kwasi Kodom

It is well with us, and the jesus film project.  Please the God and also you for providing this great opportunity to reach out to the unsaved. On the 4 of March was a blessed day at Subriso where we 639 people to watch the film and 21 people got saved.  On the 11 March was the turn of Sraneso on that night we had 420 people to see the film and 6 people were saved that day.It is interesting to see that all villages do assist us in terms food and what is in their hands. Yesterday 18 of March we in Akumadan where the town is big and more than one show, but we had one area where show the film ,we had more than 1000 people to see the film and we had 9 people accepted christ.I thank God for minister Susie for her testimonies that bring people attention to Christ.We also need your prayer support for this project so that God will continue to open doors for the programme.  God is soo good to us in this years, let keep on praising his wonderful name.We wish you all and blessings on you and Mama Dorithy.Looking forward to see you.

I hope this letter will find you doing well back home.  All is well with us and the ministry. I am taking this opportunity on behalf of the pastors to thank God for the wonderful team you brougt, the villages are blessed through their ministry.  Please i did received an amount of six hundred and seventy five thousand cedis from mr, Patrick for the Jesus film ministry.

Feb19 was a blessed day at Ayerede, where we showed the film , we had 310 people who watched the film and 11 people got saved. Yesterday feb 27 was the turn of Asuboye a village near Subriso where we have our new church. We have 278 people watched the film,it is more exciting to see 14 people accepted Christ as their Lord. We are looking forward to go to Subriso next week as we have our plan on schedule.
