Mission Summary

I just got married on February 5, 2011 so it is not just me that the church is supporting anymore. My wife’s name is Lauren Pauls. Around the beginning of April we will be moving to Honolulu to work on the YWAM base there and serving in whatever way that we can. We are not entirely sure what we will be doing as for right now. We will either be helping staff the Discipleship Training School, or working on the operations staff on the base. We will be serving on the base in Honolulu until early July when we will be moving to the YWAM base on the Big Island of Hawaii. Once there we are going to be students in a secondary school. The school will be based around intercessory prayer and worship and getting closer to the heart of God through those tools. This school is designed to prepare its students to go into the field and get involved in long-term missions work.  Lauren and I plan to go long term in the hopefully not-too-distant future. This school will have a 5-6 week lecture phase, and an open ended outreach, meaning that people can go for as long or as short as they would like.

This should all make for an interesting year, as it will also be our first year of marriage. We know that it will not always be easy, but we are believing and trusting that God will help us through it as He has called us to do what we are planning for this year. Another thing that will also be a struggle is the financial side of all the school. Right now we do not have the finances to pay for this school, so again we are trusting God that since he has called us to do this, He will also provide the finances for us to do it! Another thing that will be hard this year is the difficult circumstances that Lauren’s mom is experiencing in her health. It is going to be a trying year for all of Lauren’s family, and knowing that all we can do for them is pray, will make it hard for us as well.

Prayer Requests

• That God will bless us in our first year of marriage.
• For Lauren’s family, her mom’s health in particular.
• Finances for the school we are participating in.
• That we will continually hear God for our next step.
