Mission Summary

Global Shore is a mission organization working in the village of El Tizate, Guatemala. Our efforts are focused on Christian Education and we have recently completed a new school facility that was inaugurated on January 22nd, 2011. A milestone in our history to say the least! We are now moved in and overfull with 180 students in grades Junior-Kindergarten to Grade 5. We plan to continue adding a new grade every year to follow the advancement of the students. We are blessed with the most magnificent, God-fearing staff this side of heaven and they continue to take their mandate seriously of raising up their students to know and love the Lord Jesus in a holistic fashion, as well as equip them with a great education.

Change and development is on the horizon, as we look towards providing dental services to our staff and student body.  We hope to run our first dental mission in the fall of 2011. The recently vacated former school facility also provides an interesting topic to muse, wonder and ponder about as we wait and pray to see what the Lord would have us use that facility for. There are some interesting and (very) exciting ideas in the air.

The mosaic of my position continues and I am back and forth between Guatemala and Ontario to host the short-term teams that come to serve. The “off months” are filled with admin elements, IT dabblings, promoting the good Lord Jesus and his work in Guatemala and other such things.
