Mission Summary

We have been privileged to serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators (WBT) since 1988. We spent 12 years in Papua New Guinea as support missionaries and are now serving at the Canada Institute of Linguistics (CanIL) on the campus of Trinity Western University (TWU). CanIL equips people to do Bible Translation which will provide God’s Word to language groups around the world who do not yet have any scripture in their language.

As translators begin translation they also teach the people to read their language which helps them out of poverty to establish a better life and gives them a renewed sense of pride and dignity. During and after the translation process it is often the case that many people come to the LORD, believers are built up and the church is strengthened.
   
Don is the Director of Personnel at CanIL, serves on the Admin team, and engages in member care. Presently he is also serving on a three-person committee to handle Personnel issues for Wycliffe Canada.  Don is also engaged in ministry on the Elder’s Board and the Missions Commission at Northview.
   
Gloria also serves at CanIL in leading and organizing prayer groups and being involved in member care. Gloria also enjoys interacting and encouraging women at Oasis, Wednesday mornings at Northview.

Prayer Requests

• Pray for the Lord’s continued guidance and blessing in our lives as we serve at CanIL and Northview.
• Pray for our young adult children as they learn to establish their lives centred on the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Pray for the young people who are studying to become Bible Translators at CanIL.
