Way to go Jeff! What an awesome sermon on a taboo subject.
You are right on in the interpretation of wives being subject to their husbands when the husband is leading by Jesus’s code of conduct, ethics and standards. It is a pleasure to be the wife of a Godly, kind man. It is easy to love a husband who cares about his wife like Jesus cares about the church. It feels safe and wonderful to have a Christ-empowered husband leading and protecting me and our children. I love how you talked straight up to the guys and how you effectively use humor to make clear points on sensitive issues. No one wants to be told that they are doing things wrong. Likewise, how can we rise to God’s calling on us unless we listen, repent and change our ways? Keep telling the truth Jeff because the world does not have the truth of the gospel and our church can be used to demonstrate the gospel to Abbotsford and beyond.
