Join a Life Group or Pastorate

Both are great places to learn, grow and meet new people.

What is a Life Group?

A Life Group is a small gathering of between 8-14 people who meet weekly to connect with others through worshiping in song, prayer and study together.  The study will often focus around the topics discussed at the weekend or it may focus on a topic that fits the vision of the group. 

The group’s goal is to be more than a once a week meeting.  It is to build Godly friendships where we learn to love one another as we grow in relationship with God and through sharing that relationship with others.

Why join a Life Group?

It’s a great place for people who are looking for a Bible study to learn about God, with an intimate feel and a focus on building deep relationships within a smaller group of people.  If that is your desire then a Life Group could be a great fit for you.

What is a Pastorate?

A Pastorate is a mini-church sized gathering of 20-35 people who meet every two weeks to share a meal, worship, pray and learn together.  The intention is to build relationships with a cross-section of people from the church.  These groups are also geared for the development of a Christ-focused community where members grow in the knowledge of God, the Gospel and seek to be a part of God’s mission to restore lives and the community/world we live in.

Why join a Pastorate?

It is a great place to meet a variety of people, to be fed spiritually and to learn and develop your spiritual gifts.  The size of a Pastorate allows new people to not feel like the spotlight is on them when they first join, but the groups are also not too big that you won’t be noticed!  If you want to get involved but aren’t sure where to start, then a Pastorate is for you.

How Do I Join a Pastorate or Life Group

Currently we have different community groups meeting between Chilliwack and Langley.  All you need to do is fill out the form below or you can fill out a form at the info booth during a weekend service.  Be sure to let us know what area of town you live in, what age group/demographic you are in and what day(s) work best for you.  There is also a place where you can tell us a little about your current family life and interests.  The more information we have the better we will be able to place you.

What Happens Next?

After you fill out the form…

STEP 1: Gathering Your Information

The Community Team makes sure we have all the needed info to place you in a group that might interest you.  The process is sometimes delayed when we need to try to contact you for more information, so the more information we get from you, the faster we can place you in a great group!

STEP 2: Finding You a Group

The Community Team compares your info to our list of Community Groups and tries to find the best fit for you.  Sometimes we may be short on groups in your area or on the day’s available to you so we may need to contact you and review some options with you.

STEP 3: Someone Will Contact You

Once we find a group that we think might be a good fit for you we send your info to the group leader and they will get in touch with you to invite you and let you know where and when the next meeting will take place.

STEP 4: Making the Connection

Sometimes it can take a few weeks to get you conected into a group so we ask for patience, but we also don’t want to miss anyone.  If you feel like you have been missed, or you haven’t heard from a group leader or the Community Team feel free to give us a call at the church or email Pastor .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
