Guatemala: Day 8

Okay. Blog number two from Dominique and Amelia. It’s extremely hot today; it’s close to 30 degrees. School started again yesterday, so we started the day off with devotionals with the kids. They are the most amazing inspiration. Then we had some personal prayer time. After that we split into our smaller work teams. Dominique was in prayer and I got to do the drime. We actually made a drime to show the gospel message. It is extremely powerful and hopefully everyone will be able to see it! The V.B.S was really difficult because some of our team is sick. Isabella has a sore throat and Nic is feeling a little ill along with Daniel. We’re dropping like flies (of which there are a lot of) so we need prayer. Wait, yes there’s the prayer! We didn’t really do much so I have no idea what to write. We had a good team time, we really bonded. The prayer is amazing. We all really get along, which is just such a blessing. I really have no clue what else to talk about.

Um…. well… huh. We had Spanish class yesterday and our teacher told us that we’ll have to take a test. Our test is we have to sing three songs in Spanish in front of the kids and teach them one song in English. We need to practice, but still, it’ll be good! Most of us also had a Pila experience. A pila is where the Guatemalans do their laundry. It is really two scrubbing sinks connected to a central rinsing sink. I really liked washing clothes. That doesn’t mean that I’ll do laundry when I get home. Actually, I’m pretty much positive I won’t! J I think that’s really it. Uh, yep… so… see you all in a couple of days!!!!!!!!!!!!
