Another Couple of Restaurants…

A few months ago, I posted some recommendations for lunch here in Abbotsford. Some disagreed with my choices, but we all know that those people didn’t know what they were talking about. Only I have the truth when it comes to good restaurants in this town. The sooner you all realize that, the better off we will all be.
In light of the sheer magnitude of my rightness when it comes to these sorts of things, let me add a couple of other restaurants to the list. If you try these out, you will be happy. If you don’t, you will live a substandard existence for the foreseeable future.
Here they are (drum roll, please)…
1. Donairos – This is a new shop on South Fraser Way that you probably have not noticed because you are speeding by it trying to get to Red Robin for a meal. Do yourself a favor by foregoing the Magenta Bird and instead stop in at this place. You will find that it is sort of dirty and you’ll not really know how to order so you will stand around for a minute wondering if you’ve made a big mistake. Stick with it, boldly proclaim your desire for a chicken gyro or something like that , then prepare your tastebuds for nirvana. It’s cheap too.
2. Mitch Millers – I ate at this restaurant today and I am genuinely angry that I have been in this town for nearly three years and have never been here before. It’s fabulous. Granted, the place sort of smells like a smoker’s lung, but the food makes up for it. I had the pesto chicken sandwich with a side of French fries (which were the most perfect fries I have ever had). My stomach is still thanking me for the whole experience. The food is priced a little bit less than Earls and a lot less than Milestones. You can thank me later.
I will keep you posted as to other eateries I find. And remember – if I don’t like it, it doesn’t deserve to be there.

Jeff,.... If your ever near the Abbotsford Airport, try the ‘Baron Bar & Grill’, right next to the Abbotsford Flight Center. The food is amazing, and you can sit and watch all the ‘happening’s’ out on the airfield. Priced along the same lines as ‘The Magenta Bird’ You referred to in your blog. Try it .... You won’t be sorry.
