Friendships have many faces. Some are built around common interests and some around common experiences. Some are between peers and some are between the generations. Some are structured and some are fluid. BUT all have potential for selfless love to be given and received, for learning and transformed living, for community service and influence.  Listen to the voices of those who have started groups for the purpose of connecting:

CONNECTING - IN YOUR WORDS

“Just Between Friends” is a group of women who started meeting at 6:30 am once a week for prayer and bible study. We are all working women who cannot make it out at night or for anything during the day, yet feel the need to be a part of a group with common interests and support, and something that keeps us grounded in the word. We pray for our families and children, and any personal issues in our lives. It is so good to have encouragement when down and someone to pray with you through trials. The bond formed when centered in Christ is so incredible. If you have nowhere to be fed, grounded or covered, on a personal level that is more intimate than you can receive in church, I encourage you to become part of a prayer group and start to find strength in Him. Christian sisters are so important.  - Shelley -

It has been a blessing for me to work with different “Beth Moore” studies, with a DVD and workbook. Our little group started when we as friends wanted to get to know our
Lord better. And did He ever bless us! Three out of the 4 ladies are divorced. We have a lot to share! With these studies the Lord had a way into my heart. This is the first time in my life I got to know the Lord on such a personal level. Now I feel kinda lost this summer, without a study! Thank you, thank you Lord!
