What I do: My role is called Pastor of Community. I give leadership to things like Baptism and Membership. I assist people in getting connected into Pastorates, Life Groups and service positions within the church. I oversee our First Touch ministry which focuses on how new people coming to Northview will feel welcomed and can understand who we are.
All of these things help people assimilate into the church in a deeper way. Along with these things, I work with teams made up of people from our church who see the importance of adding their gifts to serve our church within these areas. I also serve as Men’s Ministry director.

Family: I am the product of an arranged marriage. My dad set me up on a blind date with my wife to be Michelle and nine months later we got married. She is an amazing woman and we are blessed to have three energetic boys, Jonas (2005), Jack (2006) and Jase (2009), who keep us on our toes.

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. It is a gift from God to have ears to hear and to respond to God’s Word.

How I got involved with Northview: I have been a member of Northview since the late 80’s.
I spent two years working as the Director of Discipleship with Tim Klassen before moving into this position.

A few of my favorite things: I look forward to spending time with my wife and three boys.
Since moving to BC in 1998, I have grown to love following the Canucks along with all the drama each year brings. I enjoy playing sports that involve me chasing after a ball.

Random thoughts: Never tell someone you are going to tell them a “funny” story. Tell them the story and let them decide.
