On Thursday, January 24 Northview sent out via email to all donors with an email address in our system the 2018 Tax Receipt (Statement).

If you did not receive the email and would like to download your 2018 tax statement, please refer to the information below.

 

TO RETRIEVE YOUR STATEMENT: IMPORTANT!
If an email address that is not in our system is entered to receive a log in link, the program will prompt you to create a donor profile.
Please do not create a new donor profile if you know you have donated to Northview this year.
  Contact us at giving@northview.org for the email address we have on file for you. (You could also check some of the other email addresses you may have given Northview or check your junk mail box.)
Please send us your full name, email address, and mailing address. You will receive an email with your tax receipt once your information is updated.

 


 

ONLINE DONOR PROFILE OVERVIEW:

At the very top left hand corner is a DONATE button. We have deactivated this button because we are not accepting online credit card donations at this time.

You are welcome to edit your name, add an email address or update your mailing address. Please edit to reflect your current information. CRA requires a full mailing address before a tax receipt statement is issued. If you have more than one email address, the one with the star by it will be sent emails.

SEND RECEIPTS WHEN I GIVE
Refers to when a donation is given online using credit card which we have deactivated at this time. You do not need to edit this.

PAYMENT METHODS
This refers to giving online. If you click the Add a payment method you will see the option for a debit card, however, Canadian debit cards will not be accepted as a payment method.

RECURRING DONATIONS
Again this refers to online recurring credit card donations which we have deactivated at this time.

DONATION HISTORY
Here you will find your donation history from Jan 1 2018 to current.
Our program allows for us to assign donations to individuals only (not couples as in previous programs), therefore, if you find that your 2018 donations are lower than expected, perhaps some donations are under your spouse’s name and you will need to check their email, download their tax statement or repeat the process of logging in. CRA allows for either spouse to claim tax receipt statements even if only one spouse’s name in on the receipt statement.

 


 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Why didn’t I get the email in the first place?
A: There are a few reasons for this. Northview may have an incorrect email address for you, or, does not have an email address for you. This email may have also been identified as spam or junk, so it may be sitting in one of those boxes.

Q: Why can’t I donate online?
A: At this time, the Stewardship Committee has decided to only allow donations via debit, cash, cheque, e-transfer, pre-approved giving, or gifts of stock. Please contact the Stewardship chair if you have questions for the Stewardship Committee.

Q:Why doesn’t it accept my debit or credit card?
A: We have disabled this feature. See above. Canadian debit cards are not accepted on this program.

Q: I have questions about the amount on my statement.
