At Northview our goal is to equip Christians for Spiritual Growth.

“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28)

Below are resources that will help in your pursuit for individual growth, as you raise your family, and as you engage in community with other believers!

Bible Study Tools 1: First Principles

There is great responsibility associated with teaching and leading others in the study of God’s word. Our goal is to make sure that each leader is equipped to be “a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15 ESV). Leaders play a key role in directing people to scripture to answer questions during Bible study, to guide them to truth, and, in some cases, to counsel and bring comfort. We want to provide you with the tools you need to rightly handle God’s word.

In Bible Study Tools 1: First Principles we will be teaching fundamental principles for studying and teaching the Bible. How do you approach the text? How do you make sure you are not adding to or taking away from what a passage is saying? What things should you consider about the context of the passage and your own biases as you read? During our 4 week training session, we’ll be answering these questions and more.

Dates: Wednesdays, May 22 – June 12
Times: 9:00am-10:30am OR 7:00pm-8:30pm
*Both times will have the same content and teaching, we are simply offering 2 times options to choose from.
Location: West Court, Downes Road Campus
Cost: $10

Thursday Early Morning Theology

Thursday Theology is a leadership development program designed to equip Northview’s leaders for serving in the church. We meet during the Fall, Winter, and Spring for a period of two years as we read and discuss Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem. If you would like more information about the course and to find out about timelines for joining, please contact discipleship@northview.org.

Northview’s Resource Center

The Resource Center is temporarily closed. Northview is undergoing some renovations to create more community space, and this has interrupted the use of the Resource Center space. We have the intention of moving our database to an online server, but do not have a date set to launch that. Keep your eyes open for notice that this is going live!

If you have questions about this closure, please contact Stephanie at library@northview.org

Theology • Life • Culture Classes

TLC 16X19

Northview’s TLC classes have provided an opportunity for adults to engage in in-depth studies exploring theology, life and culture through the lens of Scripture. The aim of TLC at Northview is to help shape a biblical worldview in the hearts and minds of everyone who attends Northview Community Church. We long to see our people mature and become more solid in their knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God.

In the last year, Northview has sought to engage in discipleship through the use of Community Groups – both sermon-based and bible study-based. In order to ensure that we are not competing with people’s participation in Community Groups, TLC has evolved to take on a new look – the Saturday Study Session. Study Sessions will be held periodically on Saturdays throughout the year and will focus on one topic and complete that topic in one session. Keep an eye on this page and the bulletin to see opportunities to participate in these sessions!

There are currently no Study Sessions available.
