Soar Team Montreal Day 13

Post From: Dominique Unruh
Hey it’s Dominique! I have had a wonderful time here in Montreal. I can’t even explain what I have felt and experienced this week. God has truly been at work in my life. Praise God! This mission trip has really been an amazing experience. Our team has grown closer and closer this week, which is why I’m sad to say that our trip is almost over!
Today was the first day of debrief. Philip Serez led us through some reflections of our past 2 weeks…what we Felt, Saw and Did.
I spent that time just talking to God. Later after lunch we did some sightseeing in old Montreal and did some browsing and shopping. It was a fun and relaxing time we spent together as a team.
At four o’clock our team had a debrief time with Randy Friesen, the director of MBMSI. He asked us questions about what we did this week. I got to learn how God worked through my team members, and also got to share with my team what I experienced and what I discovered.
The team debrief got all of us to express what we learned on the missions field and transfer it to everyday life.
We had our evening session with Randy Friesen and he taught us how to share God at home. His main points were to love God first in our life. The second point was to be faithful to God. And the last and final point was to follow God to the very end. At the very end of the session everybody split into prayer groups. One was risk taking obedience. Another was worship. The third was transitions, and the last one was breakthrough in families. I went to the risk taking obedience. It was really impacting for me because I took a step of faith and told God that he has full control of my life and I was ready for what he has planned for me.
Today was an amazing day and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! We only have one more day to go, so I will be seeing my family soon. I will embrace this last day with my whole heart!
See ya
