Wisdom or bit of advice: For your greatest fulfillment in life, figure out what you are really good at and really love to do, then go find someone to pay you to do it.

Hope and Vision for Northview: To be a church intimate in our relationship with Jesus Christ, alive and dynamic in our worship, mature in our knowledge of God’s Word, empowered by the Spirit to freely minister to the needs within our NCC Body, our community and beyond.

How I got involved with Northview: Started in 1991 when we were looking for a good family church close to home.  We were greatly inspired by Pastor Vern’s wise and encouraging ministry, and the great music.

A few of my favorite things: Playing saxophone while Linda accompanies on the piano; singing and playing piano; reading; hiking; gardening; home renos;

Favorite author: Mark Buchanan,  John Grisham

Favorite kind of music: Very broad tastes, but not country

I like this quote: “Do not say you are only a child, for you must go to everyone I send you to, and you must say whatever I command you to say.  Do not be afraid of them, for I will rescue you, declares the Lord.”  Jer. 1:7,8

Hometown: Son of a small-town pastor, I lived in 5 small BC communities before graduating from high school.  Favourite town was Summerland, Okanagan.
