What I do: For the past 20 years we have been serving full-time with Wycliffe Bible Translators. While we served for 12 years overseas in Papua New Guinea, I was involved as a counselor, teacher, school administrator, and headed up the member care department during our last term. At present we are home assigned Wycliffe missionaries, serving at Wycliffe’s training school, the Canada Institute of Linguistics (CanIL) located on the campus of Trinity Western University in Langley where I presently serve as Director of Personnel.

Spouse: Gloria, my wife of 28 years.

Children: Christine 1984, Michael 1986, and Daniel 1987

Education: B.R.E. Christian Education, Hon. BA Psychology and Sociology, B.Ed in History and Family Studies, M.Ed.in Counseling

Hope and Vision for Northview: That we would glorify God, fulfilling the great commission of making disciples, building up the body of Christ, impacting our world for kingdom purposes.

How I got involved with Northview: I have been involved on the mission’s commission since 2006 and provide debriefing sessions with our missionaries as needed. Gloria and I have been table leaders in the Build program to strengthen believers.

A few of my favorite things: Serving others, enjoying times with my family, playing squash, and scuba diving.

Favorite author: I enjoy reading books on counseling, leadership and team building.

Favorite kind of music: Contemporary worship music, and old hymns rich in theology.

Favorite verse: Eph. 3:20 “Now onto Him who is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

Hometown: Hamilton Ontario, but grew up in London and Windsor before moving to Papua New Guinea. We moved to BC in 2002 and live in Aldergrove.
