WHAT IS CHILD DEDICATION?
Child Dedication is a public testimony by parent(s) acknowledging that their child is a gift from God and that they are responsible to instruct the child in the Word of God, that they will guide the child in Christian living and they will lead the child to seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity for family and friends as well as the entire congregation to publicly acknowledge their support of the parent(s) in fulfilling their vows. During the dedication service, a pastor or significant person in the child's life (i.e. grandparent) prays for God's blessing upon the child.
I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY CHILD DEDICATED. WHAT DO I DO?
Register your child for Dedication
The next child dedication services will be coming up in the fall. Please call as soon as possible to reserve your spot!

Please provide the following:
- Parent's names
- Child's First, Middle & Last Name
- Child's Birth Date
- Picture of your child (bring one in to the church office or e-mail it to cleschisnki@northview.org)
- Which service you would like to have your child dedicated in.
- Name of significant person you would like to participate in the service (Grandparent, Pastor, Elder, Life Group Leader)
Child Dedication Service
- A clear statement of the meaning and significance of child dedication is given.
- The assigned M.C. calls the parents and child forward and introduces them.
- The name and meaning of the child's name is stated and an appropriate verse is read.
- The parents are asked "Do you dedicate your child to the Lord and commit yourselves to raise him/her in the love and nurture of Jesus?"
- The M.C. or designated person takes the child in his arms and offers a prayer of blessing.
- The certificate of dedication is given to the parents.
- Maximum of 3 child dedications per service.
- Upcoming Dedication Dates: November 24/25
