The word of God is relevant and able to speak into the lives of young
adults. Every Wednesday night, by God's grace, you will be taught from the
Bible. The teaching ministry ingredient to our Wednesday nights is crucial to
the spiritual formation of the young adult. The ministry of the word is
imperative in a world where truth is up for grabs. Decisions and choices are
enormous at this stage of life. The word of God is our blueprint for life.
"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any
double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." [Hebrews 4:12]
Worship
We are part of a culture that can be very material, shallow and self-serving.
It's going against the flow to love someone more than ourselves, to be a
servant instead of being served. True, authentic worship of God is
counter-cultural yet beautiful, sacrificial yet life-changing! God is loving
and faithful and desires our devotion and relationship with Him.
"I will sing of the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth I will
make our faithfulness known through all generations." [Psalm 89:1]
We want to be a generation that broadcasts our passion for Jesus to our
families, co-workers, friends, and anyone we meet. And it begins with the
desire to live in lives of worship!
