Baptism, Encouragement Partners & Membership:
For newer believers, those who have recently been baptized, or who would like to be, we are facilitating the process of helping you find an Encouragement Partner – someone who can walk beside you for a period of three months to a year who will help you as you grow in your faith. For mature believers, or those who are ready to make a commitment to membership, we will be holding regular Saturday morning membership classes during which those attending will receive the information and guidance needed to move forward in their life of discipleship.
The Baptism Class is for anyone wishing to be baptized or wanting more information on baptism. Find the link at the bottom of the page for the Baptism Application. This will need to be filled out before the course.
Membership in the Body of Christ is both universal and local. What is the purpose of membership in a church? God says in Ephesians 4:16 that believers are to be committed to one another for the sake of spiritual impact. Membership also gives believers a sense of belonging, (Hebrews 10:23-25). By becoming a member, you accept responsability for a group of fellow believers and you yourself become accountable to mature brothers and sisters in Christ, (Galatians 6:1-2, 10 and Hebrews 13:17).
- We would like to hold an Encouragement Partner Training Class for mature believers who wish to come along side a new believer or baptism candidate to walk with them in thier new commitment. - The next Membership Class will be held on May 17th @ 1pm. The application found below needs to be filled out and handed in prior to the class. Please contact Christy at the church office or at christy@northview.org to register or if you would like more information on becoming a member of Northview Community Church.
